I thought I would try to post something today. :) I have another post that I am working on, but it will take me a little while to get it all finished. It takes me a while sometimes to get what I am thinking out into words.
I have been picking up rocks out of one of our fields for Dad when I am able to. That gives me a lot of time to think as I work. :) One of the thoughts that I have had was; " What am I preparing myself for?" With how things are going in our nation and in the world, I could be persecuted, put in prison, and/or sent to labor camps because I am a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. I could also die for what I believe in. I know it sounds a little funny now to be thinking that way. But I believe that it is coming, and I need to be ready for it when it does come.
I thought I would share that with you all.
Also, here is a verse that I thought I would share with you.
" I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Surprise!!!
Here are some pictures from Dad ( David) and Mom's ( Laurel) surprise 25th wedding anniversary party.
It was a fun evening and a great time visiting family and friends.
In line after Dad and Mom went through.
I am behind the counter dishing up the Italian wedding soup.
If you are wondering the pan size it is a 20 quart pan! :)
Putting the cake on the plate.
Note little brother Simeon's hand! :)
He "had" to be with Mom and Dad and wouldn't come sit with the twins and I while Mom and Dad cut the cake.

Spring!!!!
( I only thought it fair to put it on since I am putting Micah on here too!)
Spring is here!
According to the calender any how! You never know what might happen around here this time of year! It was a beautiful sunny cool day today! I can't complain!
Micah and I took a walk out to the woods to get some pictures of some pussy willows I saw when I walked out to the woods Sunday afternoon. I couldn't help but share some with you all. I also put some pictures of my Crocuses that are starting to bloom!
I can't wait for the other wild flowers out in the woods to come up and bloom! Spring is one of my favorite times of the year to go out walking in the woods. ( Honestly, I like to go out there all year around!)
When I was walking Sunday afternoon, I saw and heard lots of Robins and Red Winged Black birds. There were other birds singing too, and it really sounded like spring! ( Plus it felt like spring!) I just stood there in the sunshine, in thought of the awesomeness of God, and of all He has done for us.
Spring will come again!
Hope everyone had a wonderful day today on this day that the LORD has made!

Josiah and Erin
Here are the pictures and story of the engagement of Josiah and Erin, from Hannah and my point of view.
Josiah called and asked to talk to me on the 15th and asked if I would help him with getting things and helping decorate for the big event of him asking Erin to marry him. I had guessed something was going on before because of some things but was waiting to hear from Josiah to see if what I thought was going on was what was really going on. I was not to say anything to anyone about what was going on. (Mom and Dad knew what was happening.) Josiah also asked Hannah to help take pictures that night, so she knew some of what was going on and helped me get some of the decorating supplies.
Josiah did not tell Erin that he was coming home for the weekend. It was a surprise! Erin's parents knew and so did her cousin, Andrea, who shares a apartment with Erin. Josiah had asked Andrea to video tape the whole thing from when he came to the apartment to when he asked her to marry him.
Josiah had planned to do a "treasure (letter) hunt" to the spot where he proposed to her. He had 9 letters that he gave her or we hidden in the woods for him while he went to get Erin and make their way to the spot.
I am not sure about all the details of what happened when Josiah got to the apartment, but Erin was so surprised that she wouldn't open the door.
Meanwhile, Brennan B., Hannah, and I were out in the woods getting the finishing touches put on the arbor and the heart and cross Josiah had made out of electrical wire that we had hooked to the back of the arbor. Josiah and I had decorated the arbor and heart and cross the night before and we had picked up 3 dozen pink roses that morning to go on the heart. ( We were freezing! We went back to Brennan's truck to keep warm while we waited for Josiah, Erin and Andrea to arrive.) Josiah had asked Brennan to pull them in a sled with his four-wheeler to the spot in the woods. So Brennan had to meet them at the road and Hannah and I went back to the spot to wait for them to get there. When everyone got to the arbor Josiah gave Erin the last letter, which she had to read out loud. When Erin got to the end of the letter Josiah got on his knee and asked her to marry him, and Erin said, "YES!" Then Josiah gave Erin the ring, (after hugging for a while).

I am super tired right now. But I thought I should write some about why I am. I will have to write more later about all the details!
My "little" brother, Josiah, proposed to his girlfriend, Erin, this afternoon. And She said, "Yes!"
It is hard to believe that he is going to get married! Not really because I thought that she might be the one since the first time I met her. ( Which was a few weeks before I went to Minnesota for almost 4 months)
I will try to write more on a later post.

A challanging quote
"A woman's heart should be so close to God
that a man must seek God to finds hers."
